Hawthorn has announced its 29-man squad to take on the Kangaroos at Arden Street on Sunday, with several big names heading the list of inclusions.
Tom Mitchell is set to make his anticipated first appearance in the brown and gold. The former Swan will don the number three guernsey, left vacant after Jordan Lewis’ departure at the end of the last season.
Luke Hodge also looks set to play his first game since handing over the captaincy reigns to Jarryd Roughead. The former and current skippers will play alongside each other for the first time since the 2015 grand final.

Jack Gunston, Luke Breust and Brendan Whitecross are the other big name inclusions, and young Hawks Teia Miles, Kade Stewart and Kieran Lovell will get another chance to impress after solid JLT Game 1 performances.
The squad will be cut to 26 before the match.
