The Hawks completed their first full intra-club match at the Ricoh Centre on Wednesday morning.
Though the temperature was already edging towards 30 degrees when play started at 9am, the boys demonstrated elite fitness as they ran out the four quarters.
Young Hawk Kieran Lovell was impressive through the midfield, showing courage and collecting plenty of the football.
Jarryd Roughead was back where he belongs, impacting the scoreboard and providing a strong target up forward in his orange training guernsey.
James Sicily also impressed offering plenty of run and versatility.
One of the biggest questions of the summer is around Jaeger O’Meara’s fitness following ongoing knee injuries. Playing off the wing, the Hawks’ new recruit managed to hit the scoreboard and impacted the game in bursts.
