From the Hawks' class of 2003, only one man remains on Hawthorn's list today (any guesses?). So, we thought we'd cast our minds back and see how much we can remember about the Hawks of '03.

In this season, Hawthorn narrowly missed out on finals after finishing in 9th position. 

Fittingly, 2003 was a season of threes in the AFL; Brisbane finished 3rd at the end of the home and away season, before going on to win their third premiership in a row. Nathan Buckley, Mark Ricciuto and Adam Goodes all gloried in a three-way tie for the brownlow medal, which was the third time in VFL/AFL history that three people had tied with the most votes for the medal (Corey McKernan was ineligible when tied with Michael Voss and James Hird in 1996).
