The changes
Collingwood have brought four players into an extended squad for Sunday’s clash against Hawthorn at the MCG.
Travis Cloke, Tyson Goldsack, Jarrod Witts and Brent Macaffer have all been brought in, while Darcy Moore’s season is over with a hamstring injury.
Both Hawthorn and the Pies will finalise their sides today.
What to expect
Collingwood have shown they are keen to finish the season with a bang, despite missing a host of first-choice players and not being able to make the finals.
They came within a straight kick of beating the Western Bulldogs a fortnight ago, and demolished an undermanned Gold Coast Suns outfit to the tune of 71 points last week.
While the Pies have dealt with injuries this season, their midfield core has remained relatively unscathed.
Scott Pendlebury, Adam Treloar and Steele Sidebottom form the nucleus of an engine room which has the ability to go step-for-step with any in the competition, and this area of the ground will be key for both sides on Sunday.
The Pies are still trying to find their best mix forward of the ball, with Travis Cloke coming in and out of the side at various stages during the season.
Nathan Buckley told Fox Footy on Monday night that Cloke would replace Darcy Moore, so James Frawley is in for a big day at the office.
Players to watch
Scott Pendlebury is without doubt one of the premier players in the competition, and had the ball on a string last week as he went about racking up 32 disposals at over 90% efficiency.
Ruckman Brodie Grundy has also had an excellent half of 2016 and is on the verge of breaking into the category of A-grade big men.
