Ins and outs
SYDNEY has recalled three key players for Friday night's clash with the Hawks.
The Swans regain former Hawks Josh Kennedy and Ben McGlynn, who missed last week's loss to the Tigers with a tight hamstring and corked thigh respectively.
Speedster Gary Rohan makes his way into the senior side for the first time this season, after returning from injury through the NEAFL.
The Swans have omitted youngsters Jack Hiscox and Dean Towers, while Tom Papley misses with a shin injury.
What to expect
The Swans continue to be one of the premier teams in the competition, despite losing some experience from their side at the end of last season.
Their top line players are some of the best in the competition, with Dan Hannebery, Luke Parker, Lance Franklin and Kieran Jack just some of the big-name players the Swans possess.
The Swans' next generation is also starting to esablish itself.
The likes of Tom Mitchell, Isaac Heeney, Jake Lloyd and Callum Mills have all impressed in the early stages of 2016, with players including Mills, Papley and George Hewett breaking through for senior debuts.
The Swans were down in a lot of key areas last week, which allowed Richmond to snatch victory from their grasp with a goal after the siren.
But the Swans showed that the MCG holds no fear for them.
Team selection: Rioli returns for Hawks
They kicked four of the last six goals in the game and still managed to find their way to 15 majors for the night, with Lance Franklin kicking five.
Their hard edge and quality all over the ground will ensure Friday night's game will be a great spectacle, and if they can rectify some of the key areas from last week, they will be a fierce opponent.
Players to watch
Daniel Hannebery has been in great touch for the Swans, averaging 30.6 disposals per game in 2016.
He’s also been able to find the footy up forward, kicking six goals so far this season – a reasonable return for a midfielder.
But Lance Franklin is the Swan in hottest form right now. ‘Buddy’ has already kicked 34 goals for the season – kicking four goals or more in all but one of the games the Swans have played this season. Stopping the former Hawk will be vital.
