HAWTHORN will welcome back Sam Mitchell and James Frawley for Saturday’s match against Fremantle at Aurora Stadium.
Both return to the side after one-week absences – Mitchell having recovered from a corked calf and Frawley having overcome concussion.
“They were both close to playing last week,” GM – Football Operations Chris Fagan said.
“With the extra week, Sam’s calf has cleared up, and James is fully cleared of the effects of his concussion. It was our expectation that they’d be back – and they are.”
MATCH PREVIEW: Hawks v Dockers
Out of the side are Cyril Rioli (family illness) and Kieran Lovell (omitted).
“Cyril is out due to a family illness, which has required him to return to the Northern Territory for a short period of time. The club fully understands why Cyril needs to do this – family always comes first,” Fagan said.
“We’re really pleased with Kieran’s progress, but with Sam Mitchell coming back it made it hard to keep him in the team. He’s a bit unlucky to miss out, but he’s now got two games of experience and hopefully more to come as the season progresses.”
VIDEO: Refreshed Frawley ready for Dockers
The Hawks will be looking for back-to-back wins, after defeating Richmond by 46 points last week. The Dockers are yet to taste success in 2016, and will be desperate to claim their first win on the weekend.
The match will also mark the Hawks’ 50th at Aurora Stadium.
