When these teams last played off, a Grand Final berth was up for grabs.

The Hawks won that one and they should prevail this time around - if ladder position is anything to go by - even though the stakes aren't nearly as high.

Hard to believe as it is, the Dockers have yet to win a game this year, but coach Ross Lyon is all aboard with the rebuild, and with a contract in place until 2020, he has all the time he needs to implement it.

His team will bring application and industry on Saturday to Launceston, where they seemingly play every year, but the signs were there against Richmond last week that the Hawks' midfielders are finding their groove and the outside run is back.

IT'S A BIG WEEK FOR … Bradley Hill

The Hawk speedster had a delayed start to the season because of a wrist injury, but started to find some form against Richmond with some searching runs down the MCG flanks. He enjoys the long wings at Aurora and another matchup with brother Stephen, who plays for the Dockers.
