What to expect
GWS GIANTS produced a blistering last quarter to pull away from St Kilda at Etihad Stadium last week, following on from their hiding of Port Adelaide in Canberra the week before.
The Giants are playing a high-scoring, attacking brand of football at the moment, and the addition of Jeremy Cameron on return from suspension against the Saints added another dimension to their forward line.
Cameron booted five goals last week and the Hawks will be hoping that form subsides, after he kicked seven goals against Hawthorn in the same game last year.
Their midfield is stacked with talent, with co-captain Callan Ward, Dylan Shiel, Stephen Coniglio and Tom Scully all in great touch over the first five rounds of the season, showing that the load is starting to be spread more evenly across the board.
GWS had a remarkable 11 players register 20 or more disposals last week, as well as nine separate goal kickers, and will be hoping for a continuation of that form against the Hawks.
The Giants are also starting to take some impressive scalps, having already knocked over Geelong in convincing fashion this season.
Players to watch
Stephen Coniglio has been in great form for the Giants in the last couple of weeks, collecting 34 disposals and eight clearances against Port Adelaide in Round 5 and 32 disposals and five clearances against St Kilda last week.
Coniglio can also run with a star opposition midfielder, so it will be interesting to see who he matches up on throughout the match.
Toby Greene has also had a good fortnight, with 31 touches and four goals against the Saints backing up his 27 disposal, one goal performance against Port Adelaide the week before.
With the departure of Adam Treloar to Collingwood over the pre-season, the Giants will be hoping these two players in particular will continue to build on their early-season form.
Selection
The Giants have only made one change, recalling experienced forward-midfielder Rhys Palmer to replaced injured teammate Devon Smith (knee).
Palmer had played in the Giants' first four matches this season, averaging 12.3 disposals per game.
