Review

Coming in at #9 is Kris Barlow, drafted with pick 86 in the 1998 National Draft.

Recruited at the age of 25 from Vermont, Barlow made his debut in 1999 playing mostly up forward and occasionally across half back.

He endured a slow start to his AFL career hampered by wrist injuries, however he managed 15 games in his first season for the Hawks.

Between 2000 and 2003 Barlow averaged 20 games per season with his best performance coming against Collingwood where he showcased his ability up forward kicking five goals.

Barlow battled a knee injury in 2004 which he sustained during a pre-season match in Morwell.

As a result he only managed seven games that year and was delisted at the end of the season having played 102 games for the club.
