UNFORTUNATELY due to extreme weather conditions, the Hawks Family Night Market has been cancelled.
The event was due to take place from 5pm tonight at Glenferrie Oval.
Hawthorn CEO Stuart Fox said the club is incredibly disappointed but the health and safety of everyone involved in the event is paramount.
"It is really disappointing that we have to cancel tonight's Hawks Family Night Market," said Fox
"Unfortunately due to weather conditions over the past 12 hours the site has presented significant safety and infrastructure concerns which have forced us to call off tonight's event.
"The safety of our members, players and staff is paramount. We have been advised that due to OHS reasons and continuing bad weather we are unable to persist with the market.
"We sincerely apologise to all our members and fans who were planning on attending tonight."
