HAWTHORN will be ready for the challenge against GWS Giants on Saturday, says midfielder Liam Shiels.
The Hawks will be chasing their fifth consecutive win, against a dangerous opponent in the Giants.
“GWS have had a fantastic start to the year, they’ve knocked off Geelong and Port Adelaide,” Shiels told 3AW on Tuesday night.
“It’s their first home game for the year, so they’re definitely going to be up for the fight.
“I think the boys remember playing up there last year, remember the differences with the size of the ground and things like that, so no doubt we’ll be up for the fight (too).”
Shiels also spoke about rule changes, winning the close ones and even ‘Free Kick Hawthorn’ memes – listen to his full interview above.
