Hawthorn has redrafted Jack Fitzpatrick with pick 31 in the AFL Rookie draft.
Fitzpatrick was delisted at the end of the 2016 season however the club flagged their intention to keep the big man at the club in 2017.
Recruiting and List Manager Graham Wright spoke to HawksTV earlier this week highlighting the club’s interest in redrafting the key position player.
"We'd love to have Jack back," Wright said.
"Whether that's national draft or rookie draft we'll make that decision on the night.
"We're keen to have him back as part of the club."
Fitzpatrick struggled with injury and concussion for most of the 2016 season, however was able to regain form at Box Hill and made his debut for Hawthorn in Round 23 against Collingwood.
He went on to feature in the Hawks 2016 finals campaign before the Hawks bowed out against the Bulldogs.
