James Frawley (Hawthorn)

James Frawley has quietly gone about his business in the opening three rounds, keeping Geelong's Tom Hawkins (two goals), West Coast's Josh Kennedy (one goal) and Western Bulldog Tom Boyd (one goal) quiet across the first three games.

His task will be equally important this week against a Saints forward line featuring veteran Nick Riewoldt and Josh Bruce, while Josh Gibson's absence will mean more responsibility falls to Frawley.

Jack Steven (St Kilda)

Jack Steven has been in red-hot form over the first three rounds of the season, collecting 36 disposals and a goal against Port Adelaide, 29 disposals against the Western Bulldogs and 30 disposals and three goals against Collingwood last week.

The 26-year-old has always been a prolific ball winner, and the Hawks will need to be wary of his ability to break the game open.

Liam Shiels (Hawthorn)

Liam Shiels will be better for the run last week against the Bulldogs and expect him to find some more of the footy this week.

The Saints midfield is a strong unit and so Shiels will play an important role in going head to head with the likes of Jack Steven, David Armitage and Leigh Montagna around the stoppages.

Leigh Montagna (St Kilda)

Leigh Montagna was prolific last week in the Saints’ win over Collingwood, collecting a game-high 40 disposals as well as 14 marks.

There has been some talk of the Saints’ more experienced players slowing down, but Montagna certainly isn’t one of them, and is still one of St Kilda’s most important players.

Ben McEvoy (Hawthorn)

Ben McEvoy was crucial for the Hawks last week against the Bulldogs, recording 25 hit outs, two goals and a couple of big pack marks when resting forward.

Coming up against his old side this week, Hawthorn will be looking for more of the same from both McEvoy and Jonathon Ceglar down in Tasmania.
