Beginning the series with the most impressive goals from throughout the year lets take a look at our fourth and final pair of competitors…
James Worpel, Round 1 v Adelaide
It was a good day out for Worpel in Hawthorn’s Round 1 clash against Adelaide. As well as collecting 27 disposals and being awarded best on ground, he also managed a goal that was a league above others. With the ball in Hawthorn’s forward 50, Worpel bursted through a pack, shook off a tackle and snapped a left footed kick to get the Hawks their second goal of the game.
Chad Wingard, Round 3 v North Melbourne
In his first game for the brown and gold, Wingard produced a title-worthy goal. There was nine minutes left in the final quarter and as the ball was tapped down to the ground, Wingard took it upon himself to weave through the stoppage and dodge multiple North players to boot the goal and push the Hawks lead out to a more comfortable 21 points.
