Watch: Talia Radan on her second chance at AFLW
It was Will Golds debut season for the Hawks after being selected in the 2019 Rookie Draft with pick No.28.
Golds impressed early in the pre-season showing off his strong running ability with an outstanding aerobic capacity.
Despite not breaking into the senior side, in his first year Golds showed huge development in the VFL playing 16 games of which he averaged 15.7 disposals.
The 19-year-old works in the midfield but has the ability to make scoreboard impact and this was evident in the seven goals he kicked during season.
In Box Hill’s Round 4 win over Coburg, Golds put up his best game with 22 disposals, 17 kicks and two goals.
With the young Hawk signing on until the end of 2020, Golds’ chance at playing senior level AFL may just be awaiting him next year.
