Hawthorn’s Tasmanian fans have been given a taste of what they can expect in season 2020; the Hawks will take on the Eagles at UTAS Stadium in a special Anzac Day clash.
The Round 6 match up is the first of four Launceston games set to be revealed when the 2020 fixture is released later this week.
The exciting fixture will allow Hawthorn members to enjoy a traditional Saturday afternoon timeslot, while honouring the Anzac spirit through a series of pre-match tributes.

Despite having run out on the 25th of April a few times in recent history, the 2020 clash will be the first time in 22 years that the Hawks have been afforded an Anzac Day afternoon slot.
The clash will also mark the first time in almost six years that the Eagles have travelled to Launceston. Despite the long hiatus, Hawthorn should be buoyed by the most recent result at the venue between the two sides; in 2014, the Hawks came away with a 44-point victory, continuing what would become a 19-game Tasmanian winning streak for the club.
