The Hawks have bolstered their young defensive stocks by taking Will Day with Pick 13 in the 2019 NAB AFL Draft.
A West Adelaide product, Day is a skilful rebounding defender who boasts all-round athleticism.
The youngster has been praised throughout the year for his footy smarts.
Standing at 187cm, Day’s 2019 campaign saw him average 17.3 disposals and five marks for the Bloods, with his athleticism and kicking efficiency coming to the fore.
A former state baseball shortstop and ultra-talented sportsman, Will Day spent the majority of the 2019 season in defence across all grades and projects as a rebounding backman at AFL level.
He has brown and gold running through his veins, with his grandfather Rob Day a 1971 premiership midfielder for the Hawks.
