Jordan Membrey – Collingwood
After a strong performance in Round 1, Membrey came out on Sunday and displayed an even stronger aspect to her game - her goal kicking. She kicked two goals, the only player to do so on the day, while also collecting 11 disposals, helping Collingwood to their second win of the AFLW season.
Chantella Perera - West Coast
It was a historic weekend for both Perera and Radan as they played in the first AFLW derby against Fremantle on Saturday. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing 45-point loss for the Eagles, but Perera stayed solid in half-back registering seven disposals and five kicks.
Talia Radan - West Coast
Alongside Perera, Radan put in a huge effort down back during the AFLW derby against Fremantle, but her efforts weren’t enough to stop the Dockers’ forwards kicking nine goals and securing the win.
Rosie Dillon – St Kilda
Playing in her second AFLW game, Dillon suffered a heartbreaking loss, as the Saints were defeated by Adelaide. The Saints led all day and despite Dillon’s reasonably strong game (eight disposals, four kicks, four tackles), they were unable to hold off the Crows, who had a dominant final quarter to secure a 13-point win.
Laura McClelland – Richmond
In her second AFLW appearance, McClelland proved why she was drafted, doubling her efforts in Round 1 by collecting 10 disposals, five kicks and five handballs. Although Richmond were unable to get the win, losing by 11 points to Gold Coast Suns, McClelland once again showed her strength at the top level.
Rebecca Beeson – GWS
Beeson was back to her best when the Giants faced North Melbourne on Saturday. The midfielder, who has played every game for the Giants for the past three years, registered 14 disposals, nine kicks, and three tackles. Despite North Melbourne defeating GWS by 18 points, Beeson was still able to show the supporters glimpses of her talent.
Pepa Randall – GWS
GWS were unable to match the efficiency of North Melbourne, but that wasn’t without the strengths of Randall down back. Fighting the high winds in Tasmania, Randall had eight disposals, five kicks and three handballs.
Phoebe McWilliams – Geelong
McWilliams, a seasoned AFLW player, ran out on Sunday with high hopes to get a win on the board having lost to Fremantle last week. Geelong were leading at half-time, but the Lions put up a tough contest in the second half to win by 19 points. McWilliams walked away with seven disposals, three kicks and three tackles.
