Jordan Membrey – Collingwood
Fremantle claimed bragging rights on Saturday in a top-of-the-table clash against Collingwood. The Pies went down by three points but, despite this loss, Membrey put up yet another strong performance making an impact in front of goals, while also collecting seven disposals and four tackles.
Chantella Perera - West Coast
Perera travelled with her West Coast teammates to Sydney to face the GWS Giants. It was a tough contest against the Giants, who dominated the play and finished the day with a 28-point win. Perera once again was solid down back with nine disposals and six tackles, but was unfortunately unable to stop a dominant GWS outfit.
Talia Radan - West Coast
Radan, working closely with Perera in the Eagles’ defence, had seven disposals and four tackles. Although it was the third loss for West Coast, it was another learning experience for the expansion team as they look for their first AFLW win.
Tamara Luke – St Kilda
It was a picture-perfect AFLW debut for Hawks’ 2019 VFLW captain Tamara Luke. Running out for the first time in the red, black and white, Luke played in the backline and collected ten disposals. Her day was topped off with the Saints nabbing their first win of their inaugural AFLW season.
Rosie Dillon – St Kilda
Playing alongside her 2019 VFLW captain, Dillon produced her finest performance at the AFLW level. The inside-mid saw her fair share of the ball with 16 disposals and seven tackles and got to celebrate the side’s first win in AFLW history alongside her former Hawthorn teammate.
Laura McClelland – Richmond
It was a disappointing weekend for Richmond who suffered a 56-point loss to North Melbourne on Sunday. McClelland had seven disposals and five tackles but any Richmond performance was overshadowed by North’s 12-goal onslaught.
Rebecca Beeson – GWS
Beeson once again showed why she is considered one of the top midfielders in the competition. She was deservedly named in the best with 18 disposals and three tackles.
Pepa Randall – GWS
Randall is known for her big presence in the backline and on Sunday she continued this by helping hold West Coast to just two goals. Randall had seven disposals and two tackles on her team’s way to their second win of the season.
Phoebe McWilliams – Geelong
Geelong’s 11-point loss to Adelaide on Sunday is its third loss of the season under 20 points, demonstrating how close they are to a 2020 win. McWilliams made her first impact on the scoreboard and echoes the efforts of the Cats by registering 12 disposals and seven marks.
