While the players are supposed to be on the sunny Sunshine Coast, it's a much different climate that has met the players for their pre-season training camp in Mooloolaba.

As the players hit the beach for a gruelling circuit they had to battle wind and rain as they sweated it out.

In two groups, the players completed a circuit of approximately seven-eight different stations, which included throwing and bouncing with the medicine ball, pulling a rope attached to a tyre, exercises with the theraband and different types of wrestling.

In pairs, the players spent approximately 45 seconds doing at each station before concluding each set in groups of three to do commando rolls - players jumping and rolling around and over each other on the ground. It was the hardest exercise of the day as it focused on strength, balance and agility.

While most players did their sets on the sand, some chose to get closer to the water, which made the tasks more difficult.

Hear Taylor Duryea speak about the day's training.

After the first group finished their circuit training in rain and win, the second group was fortunate enough to have the sun come out, which made the training brutal but enjoyable.
