The exciting news for visitors to the museum is the new exhibit that pays tribute to the team and individual success of 2013.
Presented in a similar the style of the previous 10 Premierships, the new exhibit featuring the Club’s 11th Premiership can been seen just inside the main entrance doors to the museum and includes the following:
- The Premiership team photo with the classic old English text
- One of the footballs from the Grand Final
- Grand Final guernsey issued to Michael Osborne
- Norm Smith Medalist Brain Lake’s reflections from the big game
- Coleman Medalist Jarryd Roughead’s boots
- The McClelland Trophy awarded to the team that finished on top of the ladder after the completion on the home and away season
One of the popular features of the Premiership exhibit is to read the special comment of what the Premiership win meant to each of the 11 players who have either been named best on ground, Hawthorn’s best player or won the Norm Smith Medal.
After only one season with the Hawks, Brian Lake was awarded the 2013 Norm Smith medal for his dominating game in the backline. His own special comment is now recorded as part of the 2013 Premiership tribute. He joins the illustrious list of players below.

2013 Premiership Postcard
To mark the achievement of 11th Premiership the museum has released a new edition to the popular Premiers postcard set first issued in 2011 that now includes the 2013 Premiership postcard which can be purchased at the museum or online through Hawks Nest.

The museum would like to thank the 810 “Friends” who joined during 2013 creating a new membership record. We look forward to at least matching that number in 2014.
It costs $10 to become a Friend of the Hawks Museum and your contribution helps the continuing development of both the Club Collection and the telling of the Hawthorn Story through innovative and new displays.
This years badge celebrates the first Hawk logo to appear on the Club’s Guernsey in 1977.
