All clear from the MRP
ALL Hawthorn players who played in Friday night's Qualifying Final win over Geelong are free to play in the Preliminary Final after the Match Review Panel laid no charges from the game.
An incident involving Tom Hawkins and Ben Stratton was the only matter looked into by the MRP on Monday but no charge was laid.
It was the view of the MRP that the force of jumper punch laid by Hawkins on Stratton was below that required for a reportable offence.
The MRP received a medical report from Hawthorn Football Club.
The Hawks will take on the winner of Saturday night's semi final between Fremantle and Port Adelaide at Patersons Stadium next Saturday 20 September at the MCG. A time for the match iwill be confirmed by the AFL once Hawthorn's oppoenent is decided.
