Recruting and List Manager Graham Wright spoke to hawthornfc.com.au at the conclusion of the 2013 NAB AFL Draft about each of the Club’s three selections.

Here’s what he said about each:

Pick 24: Billy Hartung
What Graham Wright said: “Billy has outstanding endurance, he’s also very quick and kicks the ball well and is able to find his own footy. He can play in a number of positions and we think he’ll slot in really well into our midfield in time.”

Pick 38: Dayle Garlett
What Graham Wright said: “We’re wrapped to get Dayle at number 38, we thought that was an appropriate selection for him. There’s no doubt he’s got some serious football talent and we’ve been in constant contact with him over the last couple of years and felt really comfortable with the selection.”

Pick 56: James Sicily
What Graham Wright said: “James is an interesting one, he’s a high half forward at 186cm but really quick, very strong overhead. He’s another one with an immature body who is going to take a little bit of time but we’re really excited he came through at 56 because we were probably expecting he’d go a little bit higher than that.”
