HAWTHORN skipper Luke Hodge will face Richmond on Saturday afternoon after accepting a reprimand for tripping Paddy Ryder in Friday night’s win over Essendon.
Hodge will have 60 carry-over points.
The Hawks captain was cited by the Match Review Panel on Monday for tripping Ryder in the third quarter of the win, and assessed the incident as reckless, low impact and body contact.
His initial penalty was a reprimand and 80 carry-over points, but with an early plea, that penalty was reduced by 25 per cent to 60 points towards his future record.
Max Bailey has also accepted his $900 fine for making negligent contact with an umpire.
Essendon pair Jake Melksham and Jake Carlisle have also accepted their reprimands for rough conduct and striking respectively.
