SYDNEY have been bolstered for tonight’s clash against Hawthorn by the return of veteran, Jude Bolton.

The Sydney midfielder turned forward was a late withdrawal last weekend with illness, but has recovered in time for night’s clash at ANZ Stadium.

As Coach John Longmire alluded to earlier in the week, however, the Swans have lost gun midfielder Dan Hannebery to a knee injury.

The premiership player is one of four outs for Sydney, with Rhyce Shaw,  defender Nick Smith also out injured and youngster Jed Lamb has been omitted.

The Swans will be missing 10 premiership players, with Hannebery, Smith, Shaw, Adam Goodes, Sam Reid, Lewis Jetta, Lewis Roberts-Thomson and Alex Johnson all out injured, while Mitch Morton is listed as an emergency and Martin Mattner has retired.

Hannebery played out last Saturday’s loss to Geelong despite suffering a knee injury when teammate Tom Mitchell fell into his legs when tackled by a Geelong player.

The Swans youngster has been one of his side’s best this season, with his ability to hurt the opposition both in contested footy and with his spread and attack forward.

He is ranked third at the Swans for disposal average with 26 and uncontested possessions, fourth for contested possessions, clearances and centre clearances. He has also kicked 16 goals this season.

Shaw’s run off half back will be missed by his team, while Smith leaves a hole in his side given his ability to lock down on the opposition’s best small forward.

He would have likely found his way onto Luke Breust tonight.

The quartet have been replaced by Bolton, Brandon Jack, Harry Cunningham and debutant, Shane Biggs.
