Hawthorn Football Club can advise that Jed Anderson is currently being treated for pneumonia in a Darwin hospital.

While initially quite severe, Jed’s condition has improved significantly over the past few days. It is expected that he will continue to improve and be released from hospital over the next week or two.

Club doctors, whose primary concern is Jed’s recovery, have been in constant contact with doctors at the hospital.  

Hawthorn is unable to put a timeline on Jed’s full recovery, though it is expected he will return to the Club in January.
