Can’t make this year’s Peter Crimmins Medal? That's ok, you still have the opportunity to bid on the exclusive silent auction items available through the convenience of your own phone, tablet or computer.

The silent auction opens at midday Thursday 3 October and will close at 10.15pm sharp on Saturday 5 October.

It’s very simple, all you need to do is follow the below steps and start bidding.

How to register to bid
Text ‘R hawks first name surname’ to 0458 678 678 (e.g. R hawks John Smith).

Then, follow the registration link you are sent via text from GalaBid.

OR

Visit www.galabid.com/hawks and click on the ‘register button’.

Enter your mobile number and name and hit register. You will then receive a text to your mobile phone.

How to place your bid

Bid via your smartphone browser: Click on the link in the confirmation message you received. You will see your name in the top right corner of the auction page which means you’re signed in to bid.

Just click on an item you want to bid for and you will see the ‘place bid’ button. You can also place bids under the ‘my faves’ tab which stores any favorite items you have added  by clicking the star and also automatically stores any items you have already placed bids on.

To bid via SMS: Reply to the registration message you received with the amount followed by the lot number without spaces. (e.g. $1200 on lot 202, SMS: 1200L202)

You will be notified via SMS when you are outbid and also if you are the successful or successful bidder when the silent auction concludes.
