Over 7,000 passionate Hawks fans flocked to Family Day on Sunday 3 March despite the heat to spend the day with their Hawthorn family.

Presenting partner Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation ended their busy “2013 DonateLife week” by educating Club supporters on the importance of organ donation.

Hawks players made their way around the activities throughout the day, with Zaidee’s Signing Marquees and Hawks Happy Snaps proving to be crowd favourites.

13CABS and the chocolate fountain provided a treat for all those with a sweet tooth, however, a healthy option was available with Launceston City Council giving away health delicious Tassie apples. The Club's new apparel sponsor adidas held hand-ball competitions and our friends at Bupa ran a colouring competition for kids.

With so many activities going on around the ground, such as Camp Australia Craft, animal farm, a giant inflatable obstacle course, African dance workshops and the students from Sports Education and Development Australia showing the kids how to kick and footy, there was never a dull moment.

On stage, Before the Game’s Anthony “Lehmo” Lehman kept the day running on track interviewing players Max Bailey and Brendan Whitecross as well as head of coaching, Chris Fagan.

Facebook competition winners had fun interviewing Luke Breust on stage and a lucky audience member also had the opportunity to ask a question as well.

Entertainment was also provided by the Alvin and the Chipmunks “Chipwrecked” live show, Mzuri dance performers and the boys from JonnyWonderpants.

Thank you to all of the supporters who made it down to Glenferrie, your support of the Club is important and it’s great to be able to reward supporters with some fun and free activities.

See see you all again next year when the 2014 Family Day returns to Glenferrie Oval!
