Hawks player and All-Stars Captain Lance Franklin won’t line up for the Indigenous All-Stars team, scheduled to play against Richmond Football Club this Friday, due to a minor injury.
Franklin underwent scans late on Monday that showed some fluid on the top of his calf after a Baker’s cyst behind his knee burst on Monday.
Though this is a minor concern, given the level of tightness Lance has experienced he has decided not to take part in Friday’s match and will allow the site to settle.
As Captain, Franklin will be involved with the Indigenous All-Stars team in a coaching capacity.
