HAWTHORN Captain Luke Hodge is doing his bit to support charity partners of the AFL Players Association in February by taking part in febfast.
febfast encourages adults to give up alcohol for the month of February to raise money for Ladder and other community programs dedicated to assisting families and young people who are battling serious alcohol and drug issues.
The Hawks skipper is doing his bit for the community by supporting the campaign and providing leadership on the benefits of not consuming alcohol.
He uses his pre-season training regimen as inspiration to participate, explaining that by not consuming alcohol, his preparation for the 2013 home-and-away season is aided as it ensures his skin folds remain in the required bracket by the Club’s fitness staff.
Since 2007, febfast has raised more than $4.5 million in support of 40 Australian programs.
