Thursday 26 September - 2 days to go

Thousands of Hawks fans flocked to Waverley Park today despite poor weather conditions to cheer of the players as they went through their final training session ahead of the Grand Final.

The players were greeted with loud cheers as they headed out on the oval, with fans singing the theme song and shouting words of encouragement.

Fans braved rain, heavy winds and at times bright sunshine as the players trained for approximately an hour.

The players began the session with some goal kicking before taking part in in-close handballing drills to make sure their skills are sharp in close on Saturday.

They also then completed some full ground circle work before taking more shots on goal to end the session.

The players then headed back inside and received some last words of encouragement from fans before hitting the gym to further prepare for Saturday's Grand Final.
