TAYLOR Duryea, Tim O’Brien, Alex Woodward, Jonathon Ceglar and Derick Wanganeen are among players to receive new guernsey numbers for season 2014 as the Club can confirm guernsey numbers for its new players.

After a breakout year in 2013 where he played 18 games in his debut season and was among the most impressive of the Club’s youngsters, Duryea has swapped his number 41 guernsey for number 8 next year.

The guernsey became available following the departure of 2008 Premiership player Xavier Ellis, who moved to West Coast Eagles via Free Agency.

O’Brien, who was taken with selection 28 in the 2012 National Draft has swapped his number 40 jumper for the iconic number 23.

The young South Australian has impressed the Hawks in his opening season and the Club has high hopes for the versatile big man who can play as a key forward or back.

Such was his impressive first year that he was also signed to a new contract mid-way through his first season at the Club.

Guernsey 23 was vacated by dual Premiership player Lance Franklin and is among the most famous at the Club, given it was too, worn by five-time Premiership player, Dermott Brereton.

Woodward, who has endured a horrid run with injuries to start his career in guernsey number 36 has opted to swap it for the number 39 vacated by 2013 Premiership player, Max Bailey.

Newly promoted rookie Jonathon Ceglar has taken on the number 18 guernsey following the departure of two-time Premiership player Brent Guerra, who retired following the 2013 Grand Final win.

After being delisted and then re-rookied by the Club, Derick Wanganeen has moved from 46 to 36.

Star recruit Ben McEvoy has taken on number 7, which was previously worn by retired 2008 Premiership player, Michael Osborne.

Draftee Billy Hartung has been given number 40, Dayle Garlett number 44 and James Sicily number 41.
