Hawks support school sports championships
The finals for the NEC Tassie Hawks Cup and the Tassie Hawks Netball Shield will be played in Launceston this week.
School sport is hotting up in Tasmania with the finals for the NEC Tassie Hawks Cup and the Tassie Hawks Netball Shield to be played in in Launceston this week.
The Tassie Hawks Netball Shield will be played at the Silverdome Launceston on Tuesday 31 August with the NEC Tassie Hawks Cup to be held at Aurora Stadium the following day, Wednesday 1 September, 2010.
This year’s Tassie Hawks Netball Shield will be contested by Scottsdale High School, Devonport High School and Mount Carmel College.
NEC Tassie Hawks Cup is a round robin football tournament, with St Patrick’s College, Wynyard High School and St Virgils College playing each other at the home of AFL football in Tasmania, Aurora Stadium. The tournament kicks off at 10.30am.
Each of the teams won their respective year ten Division one regional competitions which put them in the final for the Tassie Hawks Netball Shield and NEC Tassie Hawks Cup. Over 60 schools are involved with each of the competitions
