As is tradition, the players ventured into the Melbourne CBD for the 2012 AFL Grand Final parade.On a rainy, wet Melbourne day, the players were forced to sit inside the cars through the streets of Melbourne, but soaked up the atmosphere of the die-hard fans who braved the conditions.
Cheers of “go Hawks” echoed through the streets before the players were presented on stage outside the Old Treasury building.
The two captains, Luke Hodge and Adam Goodes held the premiership cup aloft, with only one to have access to the game’s greatest prize tomorrow night.
After the parade, the captains and coaches from both sides conducted a joint media conference inside the Old Treasury building. Hawks Coach Alastair Clarkson declared the wet conditions predicted hold no fears for the Hawks.
