Over 47 days Hawks Senior Coach Alastair Clarkson will share his thoughts on each player on the Hawthorn list - from guernsey number 48 to 2.

What Clarko says

45. Tom Schneider

Hi all Hawks supporters, my summer series continues today with the little nugget, Tommy Schneider.

Tom's been in our system for 12 months now, he's a Sam Mitchell type - in and under, with a real capacity to win his own footy and do some pretty special things with it. He brings teammates into the game with the way he wins the ball.

Like many of our young blokes he just needs to continue to develop his body and his strength over the next couple of seasons. He's progressing really well, recently returning for a trip to Kokoda where he featured prominently over the seven days we trekked the track. He's learnt a lot about his body and what's required at the professional level - putting himself in the best position possible to play for the seniors.

I'm sure with continued progress over season 2012 he'll emerge as a pretty important player for Box Hill and hopefully in the later stages of the season he'll start to get some opportunities to play senior footy for the mighty Hawks.

Tomorrow I'll continue my summer series with a player who's come to us from the Geelong Falcons this year as a rookie, and who'll wear the number 44 in 2012, Andrew Boseley.

Hope you're enjoying the new year period, only a few days until 2012 - what promises to be a great season for the mighty Hawks.
