The Hawks are proud to support The Leukaemia Foundation in a range of initiatives to help raise awareness and funds the care and cure of patients and families living with leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.

This week’s match offers the opportunity for the Club and supporters to have an impact in the lives of these families.

Volunteers will be stationed around Aurora Stadium to collect loose change donations and all Hawks fans are encouraged to give generously.

The Club will also host a special group of kids from across the state at SuperSaturday, where they will enjoy a VIP experience at training and have the opportunity to and meet the players.

Later in the year, the Club is also assisting The Leukaemia Foundation with another major fundraising campaign, ‘Light the Night’. Held at Aurora Stadium on Wednesday 28 September, this event will literally ‘light the night’ as guests are encouraged to light a lantern to show their support.

Each lantern colour has a special meaning, and you can either shine a gold 'Love Light' to remember a loved one, a white 'Life Light' to reflect on your life with blood cancer, or a blue 'Hope Light' to give hope and support.

For more information about Light the Night contact Emma Davis on 03 6334 8111 or Bridget van de Kamp on 03 6223 7688.
