HAWTHORN star Jarryd Roughead has been named for his first match since tearing his achilles tendon in Round 12 last season.

Roughead will step up his bid to play in the Hawks opening match of the home-and-away season against Collingwood on March 30, when he flies to Perth on Thursday with teammates.

The Hawks have named a near full-strength team to take on the Dockers in what will be the Club's final official hit out ahead of the opening round of the season proper.

Big name players Josh Gibson, Shaun Burgoyne and Brent Guerra have been named for the match by coach Alastair Clarkson.

With the final week of the pre-season campaign reverting to regular season rules, the Hawks have named a 25-man squad - rather than extended squads as seen in weeks one to three.
