Who should the Hawks draft?
With the 2012 NAB AFL Draft to be held on the Gold Coast on Thursday night, hawthornfc.com.au wants to know what kind of player you think the Hawks should targe
The Club will have three live picks in Thursday’s draft, holding selections 29, 68 and 72.
During the AFL’s trade period the Hawks bolstered its defensive stocks with the recruitment of Bulldog Brian Lake and Swan Matt Spangher, but said goodbye to experienced defenders Stephen Gilham and Thomas Murphy.
Could another defender be on their way to the Ricoh Centre?
The Hawks also secured pacey midfielder Jed Anderson during the trade period and former Cat Jonathan Simpkin to add depth to its midfield stocks.
With four ruckmen on the list - David Hale, Max Bailey, Luke Lowden and Sam Grimley, Hawthorn’s ruck stocks appear full, but the right player at the right pick, anything could happen.
Could a forward be selected to develop and learn his craft under the tutelage of Lance Franklin and Jarryd Roughead or, a crop of midfielders to learn from gun onballers such as Sam Mitchell and Brad Sewell?
Would you prefer the Hawks target a specific type of player or take the next best available talent in the draft? Leave your view in the comments section below.
