Hawks and Port Adelaide will be donning their rainbow shoelaces and will play off for the ‘Zaidee Trophy’ this Sunday at AAMI Stadium.

The Club is proud to support the Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation, established in memory of Zaidee Turner.

Zaidee died suddenly in 2004 at the age of seven, after suffering a burst blood vessel in her brain. Incredibly, Zaidee was the only child under the age of 16 to donate her organs and tissues in Victoria that year.

“Our campaign is all about inspiring discussion within the family about the subject of organ and tissue donation. Giving hope to those currently on the transplant waiting list will have a better chance of receiving their transplant in time,” Allan Turner, CEO of Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation said.

To inspire awareness and discussion between not only the Hawks playing group but between the Club's loyal members and supporters, the 50 meter arcs on the oval at the Ricoh Centre at Waverley Park will be painted rainbow for the duration of the week.
