The 2010 Telstra AFL Community Camps are taking part in three separate expos around the state. Active Launceston is being run in the north, Burnie Moves in the north-west region, and in Hobart, a health and wellbeing expo being run by the Clarence City Council youth group YNAG.

More information about the expos can be found below. These community events are free of charge and are all being run on Wednesday 3 February from 4pm - 7.30pm.


Active Launceston Expo


The Active Launceston expo will be held at Aurora Stadium as a twilight event on the 3rd of February between 4.00pm and 7.30pm.
 
Following the highly successful inaugural event in May 2009 the Active Launceston Expo will be bigger and better with our support from the Tassie Hawks!
 
Active Launceston Manager Lucy Marshall said, “This is a fantastic event with heaps of activities to come and try, along with demonstrations, displays and health information from Fitness Centres, sports clubs, community groups there are activities for the whole family and it is all FREE and in 2010 we even have Tassie Hawks star footy players.”
 
The event will showcase a range of types of local physical activity, in an atmosphere that will be encouraging everyone to join in.  Over 44 exhibitors will be in attendance demonstrating and running short sessions in numerous activities including; belly dancing, yoga, tai chi, women’s football, orienteering, RPM, boot camp, croquet, belly dancing, martial arts and roller derby. There will also be a jumping castle, sumo suits and what’s more? It’s all for FREE!
 
“We encourage workplaces, community groups, families and individuals to come along have and have a go at that activity they have always wanted to try! This is a excellent school holiday activity,” Lucy said.
 
The day will also feature a Celebrity Life Style challenge!
 
Attendees of all ages and abilities will be able to engage in numerous free activities, receive giveaways and discounts, get some advice from an exercise physiologist, have a shot at the target with the archery club or have a kick with Buddy.
 
Food and beverages will also be available at the event.

Burnie Moves expo


Come and try all things active in the North West! Get along to Anzac Park, Somerset at 4pm - 7.30pm on Wednesday 3 February.

Fitness groups, sports clubs, dancers and many more will be exhibiting their talents. There will be plenty of activities to try out, demonstrations, displays, a free jumping castle and more - even an outrigger canoe race in the Cam river!

Star Hawthorn players including Jarrod Roughead will be in attendance, with an opportunity for you to get some autographs.

Food will be available to purchase, and people of all ages and abilities are welcome.

YNAG Health and Wellbeing expo


The Clarence City Council youth group YNAG (Youth Network Advisory Group) are working with the Hawthorn Football Club to bring you the YNAG Health and Wellbeing expo.

Come to the Kangaroo Bay recreation ground at 4pm - 7.30pm on Wednesday 3 February to join in on the fun.

Get ready to be active, because there will be all sorts of activities for you to try out, such as archery, surfing, athletics and much more!

Food and beverages will be available to purchase, and people of all ages and abilities are welcome.
