Round 3 sees the Hawks join forces with the Mirabel Foundation as the nominated match-day charity this weekend.

The Mirabel Foundation support children who have been orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use. They currently support over 1000 children, with 4 new children referred to Mirabel weekly.

Mirabel believes that "every child deserves a childhood" and works at restoring a sense of hope and belonging to these young lives.

Please keep an eye out for volunteers who will be collecting funds on the MCG concourse prior to the match and please give generously. All funds raised will go directly to assist Mirabel children.

For more information please visit the Mirabel website.

This partnership is made possible by the Round 3 match-day sponsor, Simply Energy.

Mirabel Child’s Story

“Mirabel helps me when I feel sad. They help me to think differently about things.”

My name is Amelia and I am 10 years old. I live in Melbourne with my Nan and Grandpa. I live with them because four years ago my mum died. I joined Mirabel when I was five years old.

At first I had no friends but then I made new friends. Now I have a lot of friends and I am very happy. Sometimes I go to the Mirabel office for counselling and get together with other young people that go on camps with me.

Activities I do at Mirabel are: family camps, horse riding, movies, picnics, swimming, Mirabel House, sleep over parties and sometimes meeting famous people from the television!

Mirabel helps by listening to our problems and wants us to have a better life. They help me when I have felt sad by talking to me and trying to make me think differently. I like talking to them about my problems. Mirabel helps kids to feel better in happy ways.
