Hawthorn forward Lance Franklin has been nominated for the Origin AFL Goal of the Year for his well-timed snap shot against Melbourne at the MCG last Friday night.
Franklin bullocked his way through heavy pressure and paddled to his own advantage. He received a sharp handball from his teammate and with not much time to think threw it on his boot and, in typical fashion, it tumbled through for a goal.
