Hawthorn Football Club is proud to partner with the Salvation Army as this weekend's nominated match-day charity.

The Salvos are calling on all Hawks members to donate their pre-loved scarves at drop off points located outside gates 1, 3 and 5 on match-day at the MCG.

If you forget to bring your old scarves along to the match, don’t worry, as you can drop them into Hawks' reception at the Ricoh Centre, Waverley Park.

The Salvation Army will then distribute these scarves through a variety of programs throughout the year to keep Melbourne’s disadvantaged and homeless warm this winter.

Along with the collection of scarves, Salvation Army volunteers will be around the concourse pre-match rattling tins, to help raise funds to help support the homeless and provide assistance wherever they can.

Each year, The Salvation Army assists more than one million Australians in need. Services and programs are offered across diverse areas such as homelessness, family crisis, emergency relief, addiction and domestic violence.

The ability to assist the most disadvantaged and marginalised members of our community greatly depends on the ongoing support provided to the Salvos by the Australian public.
