Hawthorn GM - Football Graham Wright joined CEO Justin Reeves in an interactive Facebook Live on Thursday to address all the pressing questions from the fanbase.
Here is what Wright had to say on an array of topics over the 15-minute session.
How do you see it? Marking the Hawks at the halfway mark
On how the club is spending the extended break between games...
"We gave the players the weekend off, it was great to have a win and then be able to go into a couple days break. We were able to celebrate Dylan Moore's 21st birthday on Saturday night and have a couple of drinks in our quarantine hub, which was fantastic. We then got back into training on Monday, with other sessions on Wednesday and Friday. The feeling was with this 10-day break that it might be our last chance to train properly from here on in, with condensed games coming in to it. So, the view was to get some good training in this week and then jump into the game against Freo on Monday night."
On fixturing...
"We've certainly had that attitude (of playing anyone, anywhere). But it would be great if we could to play some games in Tassie at our second home. We'd love that opportunity, but we've just got to wait and see what happens with the borders down there."
In the mix: If it's not Silk, then who?
On whether James Sicily could go forward...
"I think we'd like him at both ends of the ground. At this stage of the year, I would have thought he's been our best-performed player, let alone defender. So, we'd be loathed to take him out of the back half, he's been outstanding for us back there and they've been under real heat in recent weeks. He's played a pivotal role in our back six or seven all year. I wouldn't think that would change, but we love the fact that we can swing him forward every now and then, and I think he likes that. At this stage though, I think he is a defender and I think he will stay there."
On the injury list...
"Obviously, we have Ricky Henderson back in Victoria, he returned to his family after having a knee injury that was going to take some time to settle so he's not with us at the moment. Shaun (Burgoyne) will be questionable this week. Will Golds is recovering from a knee reconstruction and Jonny Patton is still working his way back as well. But they would be the only four that will miss this week I would have thought."
On Finn Maginness...
"He has been going well. Up until last week, our midfield had been a little bit inconsistent in their performances so he was thereabouts. It certainly won't be this week for Finn, but hopefully by the end of the year he will get in there for a game or two."
