Scully sneaks through
After a few missed opportunities, Tom Scully gave the Hawks some reward for their effort with the perfect crumb and the perfect finish. Scully positioned himself perfectly at the feet of his forwards and darted through the pack to dribble one through for the Hawks. It was Scully’s second goal for season 2020 and stretched the Hawks margin to 14 points early in the game.
Minchington slots his first
Darren Minchington put on the jets and iced his first goal in the brown and gold midway through the second term. Luke Breust dished it off to his fellow forward, who took two bounces before composing himself to finish off the good work with a goal for the Hawks.
Howe drives one home from 50
A strong contested mark from Jon Ceglar set up this Dan Howe goal that stretched the Hawks lead to 31 points just before the main break. It was a perfect finish from the tough midfielder, playing in his second game for 2020. It was a hard-earned highlight for Howe who has struggled with a plantar fascia injury this season.
