If any big positive could be taken from Tuesday night’s loss to the Crows, it was that there were no major injury concerns to report from the match.

Both Conor Glass and Blake Hardwick copped hard hits, but both were able to play out the game and have recovered well.

Vice Captain Jaeger O’Meara continues his recovery from hand surgery that has kept him out of the Hawks’ last three performances.

“We’ve just needed to take it week by week with (Jaeger) and see how he progresses,” Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd said.

“We need to wait for the swelling to settle down through the hand, and make sure the full function of his hand returns before we put him out there to play.”

Meanwhile youngster Harry Jones is making progress in his recovery from an MCL injury.

“Harry sustained a medial ligament injury to his knee in the scratch match against West Coast a few weeks ago now,” said Boyd.

“Ultimately what we’re waiting for is for the laxity through his knee and the stability of his knee to improve before we expose him to running, and he’s edging closer to that.”
