Hawks fans would have been hoping to see Paul Puopolo hit the scoreboard in his final match in the brown and gold on Sunday to give the beloved forward one last cheer. But few would have expected that opportunity would have arose in the opening two minutes of the match! It wasn't just your run-of-the-mill goal either, it was a classic from the pocket.

As exciting as it was to see Poppy kick his goal, the reality is he has spent a career kicking goals, 185 to be exact! Whereas his fellow retiree Ben Stratton hadn't had the same level of prevalence around the big sticks - kicking just one goal in his career prior to Sunday. But, as the Hawks held a comfortable lead midway through the final term, Clarko shifted his reliable defender to that foreign other end of the ground and, as they say, the rest is history...
