Three young Hawks ink new deals
Ahead of Round 16 this year, Dylan Moore had failed to add to his tally of seven senior games in 2019.
His performances at reserves level in the scrimmage matches had been strong, but not quite enough to earn him an AFL call-up.
But, how quickly things can change.
Moore got his chance in Round 16 against St Kilda and managed to hold onto his spot for the remainder of the season.
This effort culminated in a spectacular outing against Gold Coast in Round 18 when the 21-year-old gathered 25 touches, eight marks, five inside 50s as well as a goal in what was clearly the best game of his career to date.
That performance was also good enough for one vote at Sunday night’s Brownlow Medal.
Armed with the confidence that an effort like that would undoubtedly deliver, Moore will approach this pre-season with the goal of being in the senior team from the get-go in 2021.
