Letter to members: Welcoming two new board members

Mat Walker’s second season at the club was cruelled by persistent injuries, hindering him from being able to string some consistent form together.

Walker missed the early stages of the season with a difficult ankle injury that he picked up in a scratch match against Richmond.

And, while he made a few appearances in some of the club’s later scrimmage matches, the 20-year-old’s season was disappointingly short by a back complaint.

The smooth-moving Walker’s talent is there for all to see.

As he enters his third season on the Hawks list, the number 33 will be hoping for a turnaround in fortunes on the injury front.
