Hawks youngster Finn Maginness has claimed a second consecutive time trial crown in a blistering display on Monday.

Entering his second pre-season, Maginness proved too strong for the field as the second-to-fourth year players returned for the start of their summer campaign.

He was made to earn the win however, with fellow endurance king Changkuoth Jiath leading the way in the early stages.

Moore re-joins as a rookie

Physical Performance Manager Luke Boyd said he was extremely pleased with the shape in which the young players had returned.

"It was a great run by Finn," Boyd said.

"CJ did really well to challenge him over the journey, as did Moorey who came third.

"Worps and youngster Harry Pepper also put in really pleasing performances.

"It was great to see a number of senior players down for the first session too and joining in so it was a great way to kick off our pre-season."

Damon Greaves was another strong performer in this morning's run, narrowly missing out on a top three finish.
